Performance dates are January 26, 27, 28, February 2, 3, & 4, 2017 @ RHP in Hemet

The audition will consist of cold readings from the script. Please come prepared with a resume, headshot, pen/pencil, and list of conflicts.

PLOT:
When a down on his luck middle aged man inherits an apartment in Paris, he plans to solve his financial woes by selling it. He arrives on the doorstep and discovers, to his dismay, that the elderly woman living there has lifetime habitation rights under an arcane French law and she is not about to give them up. Because he has no other place to go, she invites him to stay in the spacious apartment. A spiral of friendship, romance with the old lady’s outspoken daughter, and some uncomfortable revelations about his unmourned father affect all in this poignant play with strong roles for all three actors.

MATHIAS “JIM” GOLD – (50’s – 60’s) Still handsome and fit. An American down on his luck hoping to redeem his life by selling an apartment in Paris, France he has just inherited.

MATHILDE GIFFARD – (80’s-90’s) – She has aged well and is mentally and physically fit. She is French and comes with the apartment!

CHLOE GIFFARD – (50’s – 60’s) – Mathilde’s daughter. Attractive and intelligent. She shares the apartment with her mother.
